Full Time Up to $21/Hour 2pm – 10pm Overtime opportunities 2 Saturdays a month No Sundays Shift Premium Principal Duties & Responsibilities: Inspects castings for the following as required on work instructions External defects/scrap chute Excessive core fin or flash Bum-in sand removal High ingate removal Operates all grinders in a safe manner by inspecting grinder for proper adjustment, cracks or chips in the wheel and overall working condition. The casting inspector will report any problems to the supervisor. After inspection, removes excess metal from castings, following directions from work instructions. Places finished parts in designated shipping containers (W-9029) for shipment as specified by work instructions. Places appropriate "OK to Ship" tag on the container and writes clock number, part number and date on the tag (W-9029) Will accept other jobs in the finishing department, as needed. Maintains a clean and orderly work area Education and Experience Requirements: High school diploma or GED Training Areas Tagging Requirements Reference to Work Instructions Rework/Re-clean Defect Identification Stand Grinder Wheel Adjustment Tool Set Adjustment Start-up / Shut-down Inspection of Wheel Safe Operation Air Grinder Change Wheel Air Line Inspection Wheel Inspection Safe Operation
