Role: Inspections Clerk
Hours: 9-6, Mon-Fri (40 hours) can be flexible
Location: Field based - within the Chestertons London network
Salary: £30,000 per annum + Commission
As an Inspection Clerk, you will play a vital role in safeguarding our clients’ assets and acting in their best interests. Working closely with the Property Management team, you’ll be responsible for carrying out thorough property inspections across our portfolio, ensuring that our high standards are consistently met.

Responsibilities

PURPOSE

  • Protect our Clients asset and work in their best interests
  • Support the Property Management team by completing property inspections on the portfolio

TASKS AND DUTIES

  • Prioritise most overdue inspections when booking appointments
  • Prioritise HMO visits when booking appointments
  • Book visits by area to ensure maximum efficiently of time each day
  • Inspect properties using ACT visit software and tablet, looking for maintenance issues, tenancy breaches, checking safety requirements and licencing requirements as applicable
  • Understanding how to add value when sending an inspection report
  • Understanding KPI’s required for role
  • Understand importance of leaving notes on RPS and attaching emails/documents to letters folder consistently
  • Understand the importance of setting maintenance tasks consistently for the property managers
  • Attend different branches and network with lettings employees in these offices
  • Attend monthly 1 : 1 catch ups with line manager
  • Where required, cover emails for other inspection clerks who are absent
  • Adhere to department standards
