INSPECTIONS ENGINEER - RENEWABLE ENERGY

Location: Home / Site-based (UK & international travel required)
Department: Advisory & Analytics - Inspections
Hours: Full-time, 37.5 per week

From onshore and offshore wind farms to solar PV and BESS, we support clients at both operational and construction stages, helping them keep assets safe, reliable, and high-performing.
We’re looking for an experienced Inspections Engineer to join our growing team. You’ll take a hands-on role in inspections, retrofits, and upgrades, leading teams under WTSR, ensuring H&S compliance, and producing detailed reports for clients.
This is a varied and rewarding role, with opportunities to work across multiple technologies, travel extensively, and develop your expertise in a fast-moving and innovative environment.

Responsibilities
  • Leading teams as an Authorised Technician (AT) or Limited Authorised Technician (LAT) under WTSR on inspections and retrofit/upgrade projects.
  • Ensuring all activities comply with client and Natural Power H&S policies.
  • Drafting and reviewing risk assessments and method statements.
  • Supporting and mentoring less experienced technicians on-site.
  • Performing detailed inspections across a range of technologies, including:


    • Borescope inspections of drivetrain components

    • Electrical testing and alignment checks on generators
    • Blade inspections (ground-based)
    • Lubrication sampling
    • Electro-mechanical inspections on wind turbines, solar farms, and BESS
    • Interpreting and classifying defects to IEC standards.
    • Preparing clear, detailed inspection reports for clients.
