Position Overview The Inspection Supervisor leads the inspection quality teams (Receiving Inspection, In-Process Inspection and Final Inspection), ensuring flight hardware and components meet stringent standards like AS9100, NADCAP, and FAA/EASA regulations. Key responsibilities include overseeing CMM/precision inspections, performing First Article Inspections (FAI), managing staff performance, and driving continuous improvement (Kaizen) to ensure product conformity. What You’ll Do Supervise inspectors, managing scheduling, timeclocks, training, and performance reviews. Ensure adherence to AS9100, ISO 9001, and FAA/EASA regulations, conducting or approving AS9102 First Article Inspections (FAI). Act as the subject matter expert for precision metrology tools (CMM, Keyence) and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T). Manage non-conformance, root cause investigation, and corrective actions (RCCA). Maintain 5S standards in the inspection area, facilitate cross-functional communication between engineering/production, and ensure safety compliance. Who You Are 3–5+ years of experience in aerospace quality inspection, often requiring previous supervisory or lead experience. Deep knowledge of drawings, blueprints, GD&T, and inspection equipment. Familiarity with AS9100, NADCAP, and possibly FAA A&P licenses depending on the role. Experience with QMS software and MS Office. High attention to detail. Strong communication and leadership skills. Problem-solving ability in a fast-paced environment.
