JOB SUMMARY: The Quality Inspector is responsible for ensuring that all machined/fabricated components and assemblies meet established quality standards and specifications. This role involves performing detailed inspections of materials, processes, and finished products to maintain compliance with blueprints, industry standards, and customer requirements. The Quality Inspector collaborates closely with production teams to identify and address quality issues, ensuring continuous improvement and customer satisfaction.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Education and Experience:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 3 years of quality inspection experience in a fabrication or machine shop environment is preferred.
  • Familiarity with welding processes, metal fabrication techniques, and quality inspection methods.
  • Understanding of quality standards such as ISO 9001, AS9100, or industry-specific guidelines.
  • Physical Requirements:
  • Frequently lift and carry materials weighing 25-50 pounds and perform tasks like standing, walking, bending, and crouching for 8-10 hours per day.
  • Possess strong hand-eye coordination, quick reflexes, and good depth perception for operating machinery, forklifts, and overhead cranes safely.
  • Work comfortably in loud, vibration-prone environments with varying temperatures.

    Pay: $24.00 - $30.00 per hour

Responsibilities
  • Conduct inspections of raw materials, in-process machined/fabricated work, and finished products using tools such as calipers, micrometers, weld gauges, and other precision instruments.
  • Inspect welds for quality, including size, appearance, and adherence to specifications, using visual inspection and other non-destructive testing (NDT) methods as needed.
  • Fill out and save inspection reports and supporting documents (ex. Work orders, prints material certs, etc.)
  • Assist employees with personal and company tool calibration on a regular basis.
