Job Description Follow instructions from Manager/Operations Executive for inspection work. Review job file and prepare tools, instruments, and documents needed for inspection. Receive items at port (agriculture/mineral), cut or prepare samples, and carry out inspection (weight, size, etc.). Record inspection results and prepare draft field report. Update Operations Executive daily on job progress and highlight any problems. Assist in daily operations and supervise junior inspectors if required. Maintain equipment and report any problems to superior. Adherence to SGS Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) Policy by uphold a good safety behavior and exercising necessary standard and process when carry out your responsibilities at all times to ensure compliance to the HSE requirements. Qualifications Minimum SPM or higher academic qualification in any field, fresh graduate is welcome to apply. Candidate with more than 5 years experience will be considered for senior roles. Healthy, fit, and able to handle heavy items (minerals, bags of agriculture products). Willing to work at port/warehouse and sometimes on vessel (atas kapal). Good teamwork, responsible, and willing to learn. Valid driving license and own transport is an advantage. Candidate without minimum academic qualification of SPM shall pass the Inspector Quality Assessment to be qualified as Inspector.
Responsibilities
The inspector will follow instructions for inspection work, prepare tools and documents, and carry out inspections of items at the port. They will also record results, prepare reports, and update the Operations Executive on job progress.
