We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Civil Inspector to join our team in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. As a Civil Inspector, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and compliance of construction projects throughout the city. Your expertise will be instrumental in maintaining the highest standards of safety and structural integrity in our rapidly developing urban landscape.

  • Conduct thorough inspections of construction sites, focusing on civil engineering aspects such as structural integrity, foundations, and building envelope
  • Verify compliance with contract documents, local building codes, and safety regulations
  • Review and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and other relevant documentation
  • Perform quality control checks on materials and workmanship
  • Document inspection findings, prepare detailed reports, and maintain accurate records
  • Coordinate with contractors, engineers, and other stakeholders to address and resolve issues
  • Monitor construction progress and ensure adherence to project timelines
  • Conduct regular site visits to assess ongoing work and identify potential problems
  • Provide technical guidance and recommendations to improve construction processes
  • Stay updated on local building regulations and industry best practices

Additional Information

Diploma in Civil Engineering or related field (required)

  • Minimum 7 years of overall experience in civil inspection, with at least 5 years of experience in the UAE
  • Proven experience in construction supervision, particularly in high-rise and mixed-use buildings
  • In-depth knowledge of construction methodologies, finishes, and building codes
  • Familiarity with local building regulations and construction practices in Abu Dhabi
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication abilities
  • Proficiency in writing detailed inspection reports
  • Experience with various types of buildings, including high-rise, residential, commercial, retail, and hospitality projects
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
  • Proficiency in using relevant inspection tools and equipment
  • Detail-oriented approach with a strong commitment to quality and safety
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Willingness to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
  • Valid UAE driver’s license and ability to travel to various construction sites
