Qualifications: Degree in Electrical Engineering/ Instrumentation or Control Engineering Minimum of 10 years’ experience in Oil & Gas and Petrochemical Industries as an inspector in the construction of new and Brownfield modifications to existing 33 KV,11kV, 3.3 kV and 415 V electric power distribution systems, switchgear, control gear, distribution boards, UPS, earthing & lighting, underground cabling, cathodic protection, lighting and small power distribution systems. Must be experienced in interpreting and applying EPC Contractor and Vendor design documentation in the construction, testing and commissioning of all instrumentation and control systems in DCS including modifications to the existing ESD, Fire and Gas systems and control room architecture and provision of new package boiler instrumentation systems. Proved experience in liaising with EPC Contractors, Manufacturers and Client representatives during the FAT and SAT of electric equipment. Good knowledge of ISO and other International Standards. Fluency in English. Responsibilities: Attendance at all Inspections with client and EPC Contractor representatives of 33Kv,11kV, 3.3 kV and 415 V AC power distribution, instrument installations, Switchgears, control gear, cathodic protection, HVAC system, 11oV AC UPS, 24V DC UPC and associated systems. Prepare / review method statements and ITPs in coordination with QA/QC Engineers and Project Engineers. Prepare QA/QC reports regarding inspections, material and nonconformance issues. Verify all necessary corrective actions are carried out. Check all drawings and documents used at site for approval status and compliance with project requirements. Function test of control valves, SDV and ESDVs. Ensure all equipment and special tools are available and suitably calibrated with valid certificates. Attendance at FAT and SAT of all HV and LV electrical equipment. Quality control of electrical materials received at site. Ability to prepare concise weekly and monthly inspection reports.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities include attending all inspections for power distribution, instrument installations, switchgears, and cathodic protection systems, while preparing and reviewing method statements and ITPs with QA/QC Engineers. The role also involves functional testing of control valves and ensuring equipment calibration, alongside preparing concise weekly and monthly inspection reports.
