Description
This position is being recruited by Pakistan Single Window (PSW) on behalf of the National Agri-Trade and Food Safety Authority (NAFSA). NAFSA is being established as a strategic national initiative to strengthen Pakistan’s agri-trade ecosystem through enhanced regulatory oversight, facilitation, and modernization of food safety and trade processes. The selected candidate will be part of NAFSA’s foundational team, contributing to the development of systems, processes, and institutional capabilities. Responsibilities: Inspect pesticide manufacturing units, warehouses, retail outlets, and registered pesticide businesses for compliance with registration and safety requirements. Collect pesticide samples for laboratory analysis, ensuring chain of custody and proper documentation. Verify compliance with registration conditions, labelling, storage, handling, and safety requirements. Detect and report non-compliance, adulteration, misbranding, or illegal pesticide activities as per notified procedures. Prepare inspection and enforcement support reports and coordinate follow-up actions with laboratories and regulatory units. Support audits, verification missions, and compliance drives as directed. Perform any other responsibilities assigned by the reporting officer in support of NAFSA’s mandate. Education B.Sc. (Hons.) (Minimum sixteen years) in Agriculture (Plant Protection/Entomology/Plant Pathology, Weed Science) or related discipline. Experience: Minimum 2 years of relevant field inspection or regulatory experience. Knowledge of inspection procedures, documentation, and basic pesticide compliance requirements.
