  Position Summary  The Precision Inspector performs first article and in-process inspections on all manufactured parts produced as well as inspection of raw materials and other resources as required.     Principle Duties and Responsibilities  * Perform first article and in-process (visual and dimensional) inspection of all manufactured product. * Performs receiving inspection of raw material received from customers. * Perform final inspection of product for shipment. * Accurately records and reports dimensional inspection. * May operate CMM inspection machine (experience very helpful). * Other duties as assigned.   Experience and Education   * High School graduate or equivalent * Minimum five (5) years inspection of metal parts * Experience with Quality Management Systems (ISO, AS, NADCAP) * Basic computer skills   Technical Skills   * Ability to read and interpret manufacturing blue prints, sketches, rough drawings, specifications including geometric tolerancing. * Proficiency with a variety of precision measuring devices including calipers, micrometers, comparator, height gages, and custom fixtures. * Vision requirements: Ability to see information in print and/or electronically, ability to view parts and/or raw material to inspect for defects and dimensions according to blueprint/drawing.    The Business Unit  Precision Metal Products, Inc. forges and machines precision net and near-net engineered metal components.
