Bradford District is currently undergoing a considerable transformational agenda and this is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious Inspector/Senior Inspector to join the Highway Maintenance team, who have responsibility for maintenance of around 2,000km of adopted road network. Reporting to the Senior Engineer and Principal Engineer, you will undertake inspections, surveys and assessments associated with the condition of the highway.
You will also assist in the supervision of planned maintenance works, ensuring compliance with best engineering principles and Codes of Practice, having due regard to health, safety, work planning and budgetary control.
You will be required to undertake occasional work outside normal office hours, including evenings, weekends and Bank Holidays.
You must have the ability to work with a wide range of stakeholders and partners both internal and external to the Authority and be an ‘innovative’ thinker who can enhance our teams and enable Highway Services to meet current and future challenges.
