Job Description

INSPECTOR – PRESSURE EQUIPMENT

Location: Field Based North West
Job Type: Full-time Monday - Friday 8am - 4pm
SGS, the world’s leading testing, inspection, and certification company, is currently seeking a dedicated and technically competent Inspector to join our Industrial Services team. In this role, you’ll perform inspections across a range of systems on pressure equipment and manufacturers, ensuring compliance with UK regulations and European directives.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE

  • Technical background in mechanical engineering or hands-on experience in field inspections.
  • Proficiency in IT systems, particularly MS Office.
  • Ability to work autonomously, adapt quickly, and manage changing priorities.

DESIRABLE SKILLS

  • Familiarity with pressure and mechanical equipment.
  • Knowledge of the Carriage of Dangerous Goods (ADR) or related industry experience.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

  • Proven ability to meet tight deadlines while maintaining precision and attention to detail.
  • Demonstrable success in fulfilling customer requirements.
  • Experience working both independently and as part of a team.

DESIRABLE EXPERIENCE

  • Technical report writing or documentation.
  • On-site inspection work within the UK.
