SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

Responsibilities

YOUR ROLE:

We are looking for a proactive and solutions-oriented professional to manage the relationships between Dulux and the Inspirations franchise network. The role has the responsibility for growing the decorative retail business, including coatings and accessories within the Inspirations channel in the region. You will need to establish deep and trusting relationships with store owners and staff members alike. You will act as the key Dulux representative for the store with the responsibility of ensuring all staff hold a level of product knowledge that would be expected from “The Best Paint store In Town”. You will achieve this through a range of tactics including: establishing and maintaining regular call cycles, engaging the store owner via sound business planning & running regular product training sessions. You will be required to create unique and engaging product focus sessions and promotional activities. Your negotiation and sales skills will enable you to increase the share of Dulux Group products through the store, in particular, the Tools and Equipment category.
The role will also require you to manage some of the technical aspects of Trade Agencies and Trade Depots. Attention to detail, communication and negotiation skills are essential to allow you to navigate what can be at times a highly complex environment. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible for maintaining and growing the relationships between Dulux and the Inspirations franchise network. To a lesser extent the role is also responsible for maintaining the operational aspects of the Dulux Trade Depot network in the region.
  • Regular calling cycle to assist stores with sales promotional activities, product training and operational matters.
  • Consultative business planning to ensure the specific needs of each franchise owner are exceeded, maximizing sales opportunities.
  • Exceeding Trade & Retail sales targets for the store for Decorative Coatings and Dulux Group Tools & Equipment.
  • Identifying growth and new product opportunities for the store that will in turn, deliver greater share of wallet across Dulux brands.
