Description:

For one of our clients, we are looking for a motivated Data Engineer.
As a Data Engineer, you will play a crucial role in designing, building, and maintaining the data infrastructure that powers our data-driven decision-making processes. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to collect, store, and analyze data, enabling insights that drive innovation and growth.
Important note: Dutch on level C1 (CEFR) is necessary for this role!

Key responsibilities
Data Pipeline Development: Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines, ETL processes, and data integration solutions to collect and transform data from various sources into usable formats.
Database Management: Manage and optimize databases, ensuring data quality, availability, and performance. Experience with databases such as SQL, NoSQL, and columnar databases is a plus.
Data Modeling: Create and maintain data models and schema designs to support analytics and reporting requirements.
Data Transformation: Perform data cleansing, transformation, and enrichment to prepare data for analytical or operational use.
Data Warehouse: Build and manage data warehouses or data lakes to store and organize large volumes of structured and unstructured data.
ETL Tools: Utilize ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) tools and technologies to automate data workflows.
Data Security: Implement data security measures to protect sensitive information and ensure compliance with data privacy regulations.
Collaboration: Work closely with data scientists, analysts, and other stakeholders to understand their data requirements and deliver solutions to meet those needs.
Documentation: Maintain clear and comprehensive documentation for data engineering processes and solutions.
Performance Optimization: Continuously optimize data processing and Storage to enhance system performance and scalability.
Qualifications
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
Proven experience as a Data Engineer or in a similar role.
Proficiency in programming languages like Python, Java, or Scala.
Strong knowledge of SQL and database management systems.
Experience with ETL tools and data integration processes.
Preferred qualifications
Knowledge of the Azure Stack
Databricks experience is a big plus!
Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
Familiarity with data governance and compliance standards.
Certifications in relevant technologies.
