Description One Hour Heating & Air Conditioning is hiring an HVAC Install Helper / Install Apprentice in Kill Devil Hills, NC. We’re looking for reliable, motivated individuals who want to learn a skilled trade and grow with a trusted HVAC company. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build a long-term career in the HVAC trade while gaining hands-on experience working alongside experienced installers in the Outer Banks. What You’ll Do: Assist lead installers with HVAC system installations (such as air conditioners, heat pumps, furnaces, ductwork, etc.) Load, unload, and organize tools, materials, and equipment Assist with ductwork, basic wiring, and mechanical setup under supervision Maintain clean, safe, and organized job sites Follow safety guidelines and company procedures Communicate respectfully with homeowners and team members Requirements Strong work ethic and willingness to learn Interest in pursuing a long-term HVAC career Ability to work outdoors and in attics/crawlspaces Physically able to lift and carry HVAC equipment and materials Dependable, punctual, and team-oriented Valid driver’s license and clean driving record Ability to pass a background check Preferred (Not Required): Any experience in construction, HVAC, electrical, plumbing, or mechanical work Familiarity with hand and power tools Benefits: Competitive hourly pay, based on experience Company-provided uniform Health, dental, vision, and life insurance Paid time off and paid holidays Paid days off for your birthday and work anniversary 401(k) with company match On-the-job training and a clear path to Lead Installer or Service Technician Opportunity to earn certifications (EPA 608)
