Build, test and bring machines to life — in the UK and across the world We’re looking for an Installation & Commissioning Engineer to join a specialist engineering business, working on bespoke machinery from build through to customer handover. This is a predominantly factory-based role (approx. 75%), with regular opportunities to travel and commission machines on-site. Factory-Based Responsibilities (Approx. 75%) Carry out QA checks on sub-assemblies, machines, and production lines Test and validate machinery against specifications Conduct Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) with customers Prepare QA and inspection documentation Decommission machines ready for shipping Support customer queries and after-sales issues Deliver machine demonstrations and trials Site Responsibilities Install and commission machinery at customer sites Set up, align, and integrate machines Perform on-site fault finding and troubleshooting Train customers on machine operation Ensure compliance with safety standards Travel Requirements Typically one trip per month of either; 1–2 days (UK/Europe) 1 week (Europe or further afield) 2–3 weeks (long haul) Occasional longer trips (up to 5–6 weeks). All travel and expenses covered. Responsibilities
