JOB SUMMARY:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced ABB VSD (Variable Speed Drive) Service Engineer to join our dynamic team in Leeds. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the installation, commissioning, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of ABB VSD inverters across a variety of industrial and commercial applications. This role requires a high level of technical expertise, a strong understanding of ABB products, and the ability to deliver exceptional customer service.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

• Education:
• A degree or diploma in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or a related field.

EXPERIENCE:

• Proven experience in servicing and maintaining inverters or similar equipment.
• Strong understanding of VSD principles, electrical systems, and control systems.

SKILLS:

• Proficient in reading and interpreting electrical schematics and technical manuals.
• Hands-on experience with diagnostic tools and testing equipment.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with a methodical approach to fault diagnosis.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Willingness to travel to customer sites within Leeds and the surrounding areas.
• Commitment to health and safety practices.
