JOB DESCRIPTION:

This position will provide installation of new capital equipment and ancillary equipment and technical assistance to our customers located throughout the Western half of North America. This can include the following: Installation of new equipment, emission testing, commissioning of new equipment, troubleshooting on site, regular preventative maintenance, repairs on site, operator training and modification of equipment and systems.

As an Installation Engineer, you will be responsible for:

  • Visiting customer sites to discuss layouts of equipment to maximize customer space
  • Install new equipment to factory specifications
  • Acting as a consultant to our customer base regarding our products
  • Performing all assigned planned maintenance
  • Processing paperwork upon completion of each job

REQUIREMENTS FOR THE INSTALLATION ENGINEER:

· Be available and accessible by phone and computer daily as required
· Communicate effectively with customers to clearly explain equipment and installation requirements
· Setup and work with local rigging and crane crews for installation of equipment and stay within provided budget
· Complete installation and test upon completion to ensure the system is functioning properly
· Use sound judgment to handle any safety related issues
· Self-starter, clean and responsible individual capable of making independent decisions

· Provide detailed and clear installation reports

  • Must have valid Driver’s License with proof of insurance and good driving record – Also currently hold or obtain a passport for international travel
  • Versatile equipment maintenance skill set
  • Excellent customer communication skills
  • 1-3 years wrench in hand installation experience (mechanical & electrical a plus)
  • Ability to read mechanical and electrical drawings and schematics preferred
  • Must have standard tools used in the craft

QUALIFICATIONS:

Associate’s degree in a mechanical or electrical program

  • 1-3 years field experience
  • Mechanical aptitude is a plus
  • Strong organizational and planning skills
  • This position consists of travel Monday-Friday and home on weekends

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $90,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
