REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS

  • AQF Certificate/Diploma in Electrical / Electronic Systems (or currently completing)
  • Knowledge of fibre optic cabling principles and testing technologies.
  • Practical experience on communication and/or electronic systems.
  • Computer literacy skills with the ability to use Microsoft Office applications.
  • Understanding of configuration management processes and procedures.
Responsibilities

ROLE SCOPE AND PURPOSE

Exciting opportunity for an Installation, Integration and Test Technician to join our team based in Rydalmere NSW. We are looking for technicians/technical officers with an electronics communications background.
This role will require you to work in a small team, utilising your technical skills and knowledge to support the design, planning, installation and testing of communication systems upgrades on our Australian defence projects.
This opportunity will require occasional travel interstate.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

  • Development of installation documentation to support installation activities.
  • Perform installation of project specific equipment.
  • Testing of new installations to ensure compliance with standards and safety requirements.
  • Set to work of electronic and communication equipment/software to support sub-system and system level testing.
  • Ensure quality, workmanship, mentoring and task completion in support of the Project Team.
