Now Hiring: Installation Technicians
Site Location: 5213 North Fraser Way, Burnaby, BC V5J 5M1
* This is an on-site role. Candidates must be located in or able to commute to Burnaby, BC.
Compensation: $26.16–$33.05 CAD per hour (based on experience and qualifications)
Job Summary:
We are seeking skilled Installation Technicians to join our team. The Installation Technician role is responsible for supporting various tasks on construction projects. This role involves assisting in the installation, maintenance and repair of construction-related equipment and materials under the supervision of senior staff. The ideal candidate will meet projected deadlines, follow all safety regulations and company standards.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Engage in physical tasks, such as digging, lifting, and carrying materials, to support construction projects.
  • Operate basic construction equipment, such as hand and power tools, jackhammers, drills and compacters, under supervision and following safety guidelines.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction plans to execute tasks accurately.
  • Assist in loading, unloading, and transportation of construction materials to and from the work site.
  • Assist in site preparation, material handling, and job site cleanup.
  • Prepare construction sites by clearing debris, leveling surfaces, and ensuring the availability of necessary tools and materials.
  • Install and repair structures, fixtures, and systems according to specifications.
  • Conduct inspections to identify and troubleshoot issues, making necessary repairs and adjustments.
  • Collaborate with other team members, contractors, and supervisors to ensure smooth workflow.
  • Ensure all work complies with building codes, regulations, and company safety standards.
  • Provide guidance and support to other technicians.
  • Complete assigned tasks within established timelines and report progress to the supervisor.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment on the job site.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or certification in construction-related fields is a plus.
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in general construction or similar role.
  • Forklift experience is a plus.
  • Ability to perform physically demanding tasks and work in various weather conditions.
  • Proficient in using hand and power tools, along with basic construction machinery.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and technical documents.
  • Solid understanding of construction methods, safety regulations, and industry standards.
  • Ability to lift heavy materials and work in various weather conditions and physical environments.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Willingness to learn and take on new tasks, with a proactive and positive attitude.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and follow directions from supervisors and more experienced workers.
  • Flexibility to work on different tasks and adapt to changing work conditions as required.
