Job Summary: Architectural Surfaces is looking for a detail-oriented Install Assistant, you will be responsible for the precise and professional installation of cabinets, tops, and from time-to-time wood trims. Your work will ensure that installations meet both aesthetic and functional standards, contributing to the overall success of construction and renovation projects. Job Duties/Responsibilities: * Interpret and work from shop drawings to determine installation requirements. * Measure, cut, and fit materials such as cabinet fillers, counter tops, and wood trims to specifications. * Install products in various settings, ensuring alignment, fit, and finish meet quality standards. * Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to all safety protocols and regulations. * Operate hand and power tools safely and efficiently. Requirements: * Minimum of 2 years' experience in wood, cabinet, or similar material installation. * Proficiency in reading and interpreting construction documents and blueprints. * Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship * Have reliable transportation and basic hand tools. * Excellent organizational and time management skills * Commitment to maintaining a safe and clean work environment. Supervision Received: * Works with lead installer supervision. Issues and concerns need to be communicated to the lead. Qualifications and Education Requirements * High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or certification in construction or related field preferred. * Experience with installation of commercial cabinetry preferred. * Knowledge of different types of wood materials and their installation requirements. * Familiarity with safety standards and building codes related to surface installation. Physical Requirements: * Ability to lift and move materials – Frequently lifting, carrying, or maneuvering panels or sheets of material up to 50 lbs. * Stooping, Standing and Walking majority of shift. * Be able to unload cabinetry from trucks and distribute to appropriate locations on site * Manual dexterity as needed to operate a variety of machinery and or equipment. * Must be able to work in a manufacturing environment with temperature variations.
