DAY IN THE LIFE AT ID3 INSTALLER – CUSTOM FABRICATION & EXPERIENTIAL BUILDS (TRAVEL REQUIRED) At ID3, our installers are the final step in bringing complex builds to life. From custom environments and scenic builds to experiential activations and exhibits, installers ensure everything is assembled, finished, and ready for clients and audiences. This role is perfect for individuals who enjoy hands-on work, travel, problem solving, and working on unique builds across the country. Preparing for the Day’s Install An installer’s day may start on-site at a venue or on the road traveling to the next project location. The team typically begins by: * Reviewing installation drawings and project plans * Coordinating with project managers and team leads * Unloading materials, tools, and build components * Preparing the site for installation work Installers work closely with project managers, carpenters, and other installation crew members to ensure every step runs smoothly. Building on Site Once installation begins, the team focuses on assembling and finishing the project according to plan. This may include: * Assembling scenic and custom-fabricated structures * Installing panels, flooring, graphics, and structural elements * Working with tools and equipment to secure builds safely * Making adjustments when site conditions require modifications Installers often collaborate with electricians, rigging teams, and venue staff to complete the project. Problem Solving and Final Touches Installation work requires adaptability and teamwork. Throughout the day installers help: * Address last-minute adjustments or changes * Ensure structures are safe, secure, and built to specification * Complete finishing details so the project looks exactly as designed At the end of the installation, the team ensures the project is ready for client walkthrough and event opening. Travel is Part of the Experience Installers at ID3 often travel to project locations across the country. This may include: * Traveling with installation crews to job sites * Working in convention centers, event venues, or custom environments * Supporting multi-day installations and tight project timelines For individuals who enjoy seeing new places while building unique projects, this role offers a rewarding experience.
