Job Details Job Location: Corporate - Palm Desert, CA Salary Range: $17.00 - $18.00 Hourly Description Working as a team, Solar Installers provide customers with the best installation available. They assemble and install solar photovoltaic (PV) systems on roofs or other structures in compliance with site assessment and schematics. This may include measuring, cutting, assembling, and bolting structural framing and solar modules. This position also includes maintenance and cleaning of solar systems. Responsibilities: Work closely with and take direction and training from the Crew Leader Install and secure all safety equipment (ladders and mats) before the start of work Be fully prepared for work with all the proper tools Prepare the loading and unloading of materials on job sites Understand and perform the solar array layout Remove and reinstall roof tiles (notching where required) Install rails, racking, and modules Conduit bending and wiring Keep the job site clean and orderly at all times Keep company vehicles clean and maintained Act professionally and courteously when dealing with the public Keep track of and maintain company tools daily and report any lost, stolen, broken, defective or faulty tools Responsible for conducting four-point inspections during solar washing and submitting proper material to the customer/office Responsible for completing basic solar troubleshooting on monitoring units and referring any future work back to the office/customer Work with a service crew leader to provide additional assistance on troubleshooting calls Qualifications Desired Qualifications: NABCEP Entry Level Solar Experience Roofing Experience Required Qualifications: Clean Driving Record (valid license, no DUI in the last 5 years, and no more than one point on your driving record) Agility and grace in working on rooftops Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds Work outdoors in extreme conditions
