The Assistant will be responsible for data entry in the Museum’s CRM, gift processing, prospect research, scheduling meetings, and copyediting proposals and reports. This position offers an opportunity for a strong writer and highly organized administrator to learn about institutional fundraising and grow their grant writing and management skills.   Responsibilities  * Assist with writing and copyediting grant proposals and reports * Research and prepare briefings on prospective donors  * Write and send donor acknowledgment letters  * Maintain accurate institutional donor records and reports in Tessitura, the Museum’s CRM  * Maintain and organize digital donor files  * Coordinate gift processing with the development operations department  * Work with the finance department to ensure that all grants and grant payments are properly recorded in Tessitura  * Manage scheduling for the Assistant Director of Institutional Giving and Director of Institutional Giving and Government Grants  * Staff fundraising events as needed   Qualifications  * Excellent expository writing and copyediting skills  * Strong communication and research skills  * Superb attention to detail  * Strong data entry and data management skills    Department: Development  Reports to: Assistant Director of Institutional Giving Position type: Full-time   Grade & Salary: J - $61,733.26 Union Status: Union- UAW Local 2110  FLSA Status:  Non-exempt  Schedule: 35 hours per week, Monday through Friday, 9 am to 5 pm    If you have questions about our online application system, please get in touch with us job.applicationquestions@brooklynmuseum.org.
