Description HOURS: Eight hour shift M-F within 6:00 am to 6:00 pm MST operating hours. TRAVEL: 25-50% JOB PURPOSE: Provide onsite and remote training and support on Synergy Instructional Applications (IA) and related products to all Edupoint implementation and existing customers. JOB SUMMARY: As an Instructional Applications (IA) Trainer, coordinates with IA Project Manager provide onsite and remote training to Edupoint customers during both the implementation phase and the post implementation phase. IA trainers will become application subject matter experts and may be called upon to provide internal staff trainings as well. Edupoint IA trainers will adhere to, and promote, all Edupoint guidelines regarding best practice training techniques. JOB DUTIES: Maintain competency in all areas of the application as new features are added Provide onsite training to Edupoint IA customers Utilize various delivery methods as appropriate for training presentations which may include both onsite and remote presentations conducted in person, by way of Zoom, through Webinars, Lunch and Learns, small group training and one-on-one training Collaborate with other Product Units and departments within Edupoint to schedule and provide: Training and onboarding for internal and remote Edupoint staff Onsite and web based training of Edupoint customers Assist with the creation of and maintenance of quality procedure, training guides, documentation and materials Promote the best practice guidelines for the training of Edupoint software Present a positive, friendly and helpful attitude to all Edupoint customers and staff Ability to travel extensively, 25-50% of working hours spent traveling Become a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in all areas of the Synergy Instructional Applications (Analytics, Assessment, Grade Book, LessonVue, ParentVue, Student Vue, TeacherVue, MTSS) Conduct Product/Module Webinars to demonstrate current or new functionality Assist with Quality Assurance Process in testing new product features Answer all incoming email/phone questions from implementation customers regarding Synergy Instructional Applications Attend and provide input and direction during project meetings with new customers Lead and support onsite and remote engagements to configure the Synergy Instructional Applications, review and modify the setup and test the setup with client stakeholders Maintain timely communication with implementation customers Accurately document customer interactions and publish these documents for review by the Management Team Lead or assist in module presentations during Edupoint Users Conference Upon request, assist with sales presentations for IA Modules Other duties as assigned JOB REQUIREMENTS-KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES: *Knowledge: Knowledge or background in K-12 education Proficiency in computer applications, such as Microsoft Word, Excel, incident tracking systems Knowledge of student information systems, electronic gradebooks, instructional management systems, assessment systems a plus Synergy Instructional Application knowledge preferred *Skills: Experience conducting technology training Exceptional analytical skills and ability to utilize creative problem solving techniques Excellent business/technical verbal and written communication skills; must communicate in a clear and professional manner during telephone calls, e-mail communications and with peers Strong interpersonal skills Strong industry and business area knowledge Must be flexible and able to perform a variety of duties and multi-task Must have strong attention to detail *Abilities: Ability to effectively communicate at multiple levels with customers (i.e. technical / management) Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment Ability to multi-task in a fluid environment Ability to effectively prioritize work Ability to quickly learn new software and applications Ability to convey complex information so that non-technical individuals can understand Ability to travel extensively, 25-50% spent traveling for performance of duties EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE: Minimum 2 years’ experience in conducting technology training Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in training, customer service and/or quality assurance Experience working with web-based applications (IIS) Experience in a K-12 education environment is preferred, other education and experience will be considered Experience with developing training guides and materials CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: None BENEFITS: In addition to paying competitive salaries, we offer a comprehensive, customizable benefits package, including (but not limited to): Medical Insurance w/Prescription Drug Coverage Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Generous Paid Time Off & Holidays Long Term Disability Insurance Life & Accidental Death & Dismemberment Paid Maternity & Paternity Leave Bereavement Leave Professional Development Opportunities Onsite Flu Shots for Staff & Immediate Family Stocked Kitchen w/Healthy Snacks & Drinks TRP Carpool Program Employee Assistance Program Opportunities for Community Involvement Employer and Employee Contributed Health FSA Employee Contributed Dependent Care FSA 401K Plan w/Company Matching & Immediate Vesting Short Term Disability Insurance Health & Wellness Program Company Sponsored Fitness Challenge Pet Insurance Free Parking TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT: Work may require sitting and/or standing for long periods of time; also stooping, bending and stretching for files and supplies, occasionally lifting files, objects or paper weighing up to 30 pounds. Hearing must be in the normal range for telephone and video conferencing contacts. Visual acuity necessary to work extended hours on computer screens. Ability to work in an environment with moderate noise and which can be fast-paced and project intensive. Frequent travel and in the performance of duties will be required.
