Instructional Design Manager
Job Description
The Instructional Design Manager will champion best practices to support instructional strategies and activities, including but not limited to traditional, online, and hybrid instruction, as well as, courses, and programs.
Collaborates with clients, faculty, contractors, and subject matter experts in the planning, development, delivery, support, and evaluation of workshops, courses, and programs that are of high quality and incorporate best practices in adult learning, accessibility, and copyright laws. Maintain currency with emerging technologies, and best practices
in education.
The Instructional Design Manager will have considerable experience with instructional design and technology.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work with a diverse faculty and staff.
Exceptional organizational and project management skills are required.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities

Instructional Design Management

  • Create professional and trusted relationships with clients
  • Manage the timelines of each project – keep clients and partners aware of any changes, disruptions, or
  • challenges within the timeline
  • Advise clients on best practices and ways to implement their ideas for best overall results
  • Ensure smooth project management from conception to completion and post-project follow up/analysis
  • Modify and create course content centered around clients’ requirements and overall goals for courses
  • Work with course developers to implement vision
  • Communicate clearly with clients and internal supervisors, Senior Leadership team
  • Ensure billing; invoice accuracy; timeliness and strive to keep client’s budgets in mind
  • Manage communications among associated participants of projects, including calendar invites, sending, instructions, appropriate access links, etc.
  • Manage relationship and components with partnered contractors including design team, medical writers, graphic recorders, ASL, voice over artists and audio editors, etc.
  • Ensure contractor billing accuracy and submit for payment
  • Maintain databases and Company information systems, where applicable
  • Use client driven systems e.g. Cvent, LMS where applicable
  • Ensure all business-critical deadlines for project management and communication are met for each program
  • Create and submit progress reports to Senior Leadership
  • Performs other duties and special assignments upon requestGeneral
  • Attendance & contribution at team meetings
  • Effective interaction with team members
  • Accurate written & verbal communications
  • Display an understanding of compliance, including Pharma Guidelines
  • Comply with all company and Client policies and procedures, including those relating to Health & Safety
  • Comply with all Client & company privacy & security protocols
  • Achieve all Client and/or company driven Key Performance Indicators for all events
  • Maintain good long-term relationships with clients and all associated contractors
  • Develop and apply a good knowledge of the company’s range of services
  • Develop and apply a good understanding of clients’ businesses and products
  • Assist new starters when required
  • Always understand and apply the company’s vision and core values

Position Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in instructional design, instructional technology, educational technology, or related field. Minimum of three years of experience in college administration with demonstrated experience in instructional design, and distance learning.
  • Three years of experience in integrating technology into the teaching/learning process.
  • Proficient in the use of instructional design software
  • Familiarity with teaching and learning trends in higher education.
  • Managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Knowledge within medical field preferred

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift, carry and otherwise move up to 10 pounds on a regular basis
  • Ability to sit, stand or walk for various lengths of time throughout the day
  • Ability to communicate effectively with clients and co-workers
  • Ability to operate fax/copy machines, telephones, calculators, and general office equipment on a daily basis

Position Status - Hybrid in Valparaiso, IN

Monday-Thursday 9:00am – 5:00 pm CT
Friday 9:00 am – 12:00pm CT
Travel – less than 10%
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $70,000.00 - $74,000.00 per year
