The Instructional Designer is a hands-on curriculum architect, responsible for creating and building engaging, effective learning experiences that drive business performance. Working on multiple projects, the ID collaborates with senior designers, trainers, and subject matter experts to develop learning content aligned to business needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Support internal client engagements to identify training needs and learning gaps. Translate gaps into instructional objectives, conduct necessary audience and needs analysis.
- Design and develop learning curricula and materials aligned to business objectives.
- Design and develop unique instructional content that meets the needs of adult learners in a dynamic learning environment and supports e-learning, instructor-led, vILT, and blended learning opportunities.
- Develop materials using the ADDIE Model and adult learning principles to ensure learners are engaged, retain content, and implement what they learned to improve their individual and company performance.
- Develop facilitator guides, participant materials, job aids, and multimedia assets.
- Build and publish digital learning content using authoring, video and graphic editing and publishing tools.
- Revise and refine curriculum based on stakeholder and learner feedback.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts, trainers, and other designers to ensure accuracy, quality, and learner engagement.
- Manage assigned projects within agreed timelines, escalating risks/issues as needed.
- Stay current with instructional design trends, tools, and best practices.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, Education, Communications, or related field. (Master’s Degree preferred.)
- 3-5 years of instructional design experience or equivalent project work.
- Strong working knowledge of instructional design models (e.g., ADDIE, SAM) and adult learning principles.
- Experience developing both instructor-led and digital learning content.
- Proficiency with authoring, video and graphic publishing tools (e.g., Articulate Rise/Storyline, Adobe Captivate, Adobe Photoshop/Illustrator, Canva, AI authoring tools for voice and image generators) and familiarity with LMS platforms.
- Excellent organization, attention to detail, and ability to work in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
- Strong written, visual, and verbal communication skills.
