Our Supports for Students team is searching for an energetic servant leader who thrives in a collaborative environment. Reporting to the Director of Supports for Students, you’ll play a pivotal role in supporting new curriculum implementation, balanced assessment, effective pedagogy, and technology integration for staff and students.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Alberta Permanent Teaching Certificate
  • Minimum of 5 years of successful teaching experience
  • Extensive experience and knowledge of effective practices in assessment and instruction
  • Knowledge and understanding of the philosophy and architecture of the new Alberta curriculum
  • Proven use of educational technology to support student learning
  • School and/or system-based leadership experience in improving instructional practice
  • Master’s Degree or current enrollment in a Master’s program is considered an asset

  • Innovative thinker with the ability to creatively solve problems
  • Willingness to extend their expertise into new disciplines and grade levels
  • Strong, independent worker, capable of managing many roles and demands
  • Proficient in a variety of technological platforms
  • Understanding and ability to collect, analyze, and interpret data to inform practice, effectively plan, and report
  • Ability to work with a diverse team
  • Exceptional communicator (written and verbal)
  • Confidence to express personal opinions
