Position Overview: The Department of Computing, Design, and Communication at the University of Jamestown is seeking a dynamic and dedicated Communication faculty member with a passion for teaching and who will excel in a liberal arts environment. The successful candidate will have a strong background in the fundamentals of communication, be able to support the development of a holistic approach to new media, and commit to interdisciplinary collaboration and engagement with the broader liberal arts curriculum. Responsibilities: Teach a range of communication courses that will build upon current, successful programs, as well as add to our growing social media management concentration. Foster critical thinking, problem-solving skills, and ethical awareness in communication. Mentor and advise students, fostering a supportive and inclusive learning environment. Contribute to the development of interdisciplinary programs and engage with other departments across the university. Participate in departmental and university-wide committees and initiatives. Maintain an active presence in the academic and professional communication community.
