Position Summary AUIB is seeking a dynamic and experienced ELA instructor to drive its mission of English for university and corporate clients. In this pivotal role, the ELA instructor will teach, test and plan lessons for a variety of students. If you’re an innovative instructor with a passion for teaching, this role is for you. Key Responsibilities Maintain accurate and up to date academic records. Lead a classroom of 15-20 students. Teaching hours are 20 hours per week. Administrative tasks, office hours for tutoring and class preparation are 20 hours per week. Plan, prepare and deliver lessons to a range of classes and age groups. Prepare and set tests, examination papers and exercises. Mark and provide appropriate feedback on written work. Devise, write and produce new materials, including audio and visual resources. Attend and contribute to faculty meetings. Ideal Candidate Profile Professionalism and reliability: punctuality, preparedness, and adherence to institutional policies. Assessment literacy: ability to design, administer, and grade fair and accurate assessments. Continuous learner: commitment to professional growth and pedagogical development. Student-centered approach: encourages active participation and autonomy in learning. Interactive teaching style: uses pair and group work, discussions, and real-world tasks. Lesson planning skills: creates structured, engaging, and goal-oriented lessons. Adaptability: modifies lessons based on class dynamics or student needs. Technology integration: comfortable using digital tools and multimedia for instruction. Education and Experience Required Education: Masters in TESOL, Applied Linguistics, Education. Years of Relevant Experience: Five years or more. Specific Skills or Expertise: Teaching specialized English in academic or corporate contexts.
