About the Role Fitness Instructors at Bouldering Project lead dynamic, safe, and inclusive group fitness classes that align with our brand values and class offerings. Instructors are engaging, professional, and community-oriented teachers who empower individuals through movement and support an environment where everyone feels welcome. This role includes preparing and leading group classes, maintaining safety and professionalism, and contributing to an uplifting fitness culture. What You’ll Do Job duties may include, but are not limited to: Design and lead 30–60 minute group fitness classes that reflect Bouldering Project offerings (e.g., HIIT, Strength, Core, Mobility, Functional Fitness) Demonstrate and coach proper movement techniques, offering modifications and progressions for a range of fitness levels and abilities Welcome participants, build rapport, and foster a fun, inclusive, and community-centered experience Maintain a professional appearance and conduct classes in alignment with industry safety standards Arrive early, prepared, and ensure classes start and end on time Maintain cleanliness and organization in studio and fitness areas Respond to injuries and emergencies following established safety protocols Coordinate class coverage when unavailable and assist with subbing for other instructors as needed Attend staff meetings and training sessions as required Ensure accurate headcount and class tracking Other duties as assigned Job Addendum for Mat Pilates: Teach a well rounded class with a focus on classical exercises. Pilates is held in our yoga room and not the fitness room. Understanding of how to incorporate props safely and effectively. Requirements What You’ll Bring Required Qualifications Current certification in Group Fitness or Personal Training from a nationally accredited body (e.g., ACE, NASM, ACSM, NSCA, ISSA, AFAA) CPR/AED certification and basic first aid training Minimum 1+ year of experience teaching group fitness classes Excellent communication skills and the ability to adapt to participant needs Passion for movement, fitness, and community building Job Addendum for Pilates: 2+ years of pilates insturction preferred Received a pilates certification preferably with focus on mat pilates or full comprehensive. Preferred Qualifications 2+ years of group fitness instruction Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology, Exercise Science, or related field CSCS certification Experience in functional fitness, mobility, or strength-based formats Personal training experience We know not everyone will meet 100% of the qualifications—if this role excites you, we encourage you to apply.
