Job Roles / Responsibilities: The responsibilities will include: To provide accessible, compassionate, ethical, evidence based and patient centered care to all patients in the medicine set-up Provide inpatient and outpatient gastroenterology services under supervision. Participate in endoscopic procedures including diagnostic and therapeutic interventions. Collaborate in multidisciplinary care for complex GI and liver cases. To teach and train undergraduates and postgraduates according to the defined standards and curriculum. To do clinical research related to GI/Hepatology. To participate in departmental and organizational performance improvement activates Supervision of residents/ medical officers/SMO/FMO and help them in patients care and performing procedures. Act as a liaison person between and faculty when required Will be involved in GI endoscopic procedures Help in conducting end of rotation exam of undergraduate students Participate in CME activities of Section Participate in the sectional, departmental, and organizational research activates. Facilitate PGME trainees in research Assist assigned faculty at consulting clinics. Conduct in-patient round and monitor residents in patient care. Participate in endoscopic procedures including diagnostic and therapeutic interventions in case of completed GI training Act as a liaison person between residents and faculty. Teach undergraduate students every week. Direct and support the residency/fellowship/training program. Participate in institutional CME and public awareness programs. Participate in the department's administrative committee. Organize, Supervise, and teach different courses/ workshops / seminars/ CME's Undertake complex tasks involving synthesis, teamwork, and co-ordination of multiple disciplines to address Needs beyond and individuals own scope of work; a capacity to supervise others and administrative ability. In research, defining a research project, securing a competitive grant for it, undertaking research, synthesizing. Take on supervisory roles for PGME trainees. Facilitate undergraduate and postgraduate trainees in research. Mentoring of undergraduate and postgraduate trainees To participate in internal and national academic medical education conferences, and symposiums. To participate in national and internal academic medical education conferences and symposiums. Requirements: The applicant should have: MBBS FCPS/American Boards in Medicine /GI Specialty/MRCP with GI training 1 year house job Structured Medicine Residency Program/GI training In addition, candidate should have had addition training as a fellow/equivalent for a minimum of 2 years in a reputable institution, and/or a diploma in the appropriate field. Alternatively, the candidate should have demonstrated scholarship either through research and publications in peer reviewed indexed journals or by virtue of substantial contributions to education. Completed Medicine residency and preferable GI training Excellent interpersonal communication skills Excellent teaching and training skills Excellent clinical skills Ability to provide patient care in a diverse setting Ability to satisfy and retain patients in clinical practice Ability to deliver CME lectures Ability to work in teams Comprehensive employment reference checks will be conducted.
