JOB OVERVIEW:

Excel Career College is seeking a passionate and dedicated Healthcare Office Assistant Instructor to join our team . As an instructor, you will play a crucial role in providing students with the practical knowledge and hands-on training needed to succeed in the healthcare field. You will be responsible for delivering high-quality instruction in a dynamic classroom setting, ensuring that students gain a comprehensive understanding of the Medical Office Assistant curriculum.

EDUCATION:

  • Post-secondary education in Medical Office Assistant, Health Administration, or a related field
  • Certified Medical Office Assistant (MOA) designation

EXPERIENCE:

  • Proven experience as an Instructor or in a similar educational role
  • Strong knowledge of Medical Terminology, Hospital Administration, Unit Clerk duties, Transcription, Billing, and other relevant medical office procedures
  • Understanding of PTIB requirements for curriculum and delivery
  • Experience in or knowledge of dental office procedures (for dental MOA instructors) is an asset

  • Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet the needs of diverse learners

Responsibilities
  • Deliver instructional materials and lesson plans based on the HCOA curriculum
  • Facilitate engaging and interactive classroom discussions
  • Provide individualized support to students, addressing their learning needs
  • Assess student performance and provide constructive feedback to encourage academic success
  • Foster a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning environment
  • Stay current with industry trends and incorporate relevant, up-to-date information into course content
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance and improve teaching methods and curriculum
  • Maintain records and documentation as required by college policies
  • Adhere to PTIB requirements and ensure program compliance
