REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Licensed Medical Laboratory Technologist – Active membership in good standing with the College of Medical Laboratory Technologist of Ontario, active membership with the MLPAO and CSMLS and must have “Phlebotomy” listed as a specialty on their CMLTO registration card
• Four years of experience of as a Medical Laboratory Technologist and or Medical Laboratory Assistant –Technician
• Must work under the license of the medical laboratory technologist (the Medical Laboratory Technologist must agree to this arrangement)
• Must be a member of the MLPAO in good standing. Credentials for all instructors must be kept on file at the campus and checked for renewal annually
• Two years of teaching experience would be considered an asset

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are seeking competent and dedicated Instructor for our Medical Laboratory Assistant Technician Program to join our team at our London location.
Work schedules: AM and/or PM class schedules.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Mentor, coach, and support students through a commitment to educational excellence and passion in a variety of MLT disciplines
• Responsible for creating an effective and positive adult learning environment
• Develop, supervise and evaluate practical skills
• Maintain laboratory protocols and equipment
• Teach the curriculum in person, as outlined by the college and in adherence with the CSMLS competencies.
