INSTRUCTOR, MEDICAL RADIOLOGIC TECHNOLOGY (PART-TIME REGULAR)

POSITION TYPE: Part-Time Position Available

SALARY: $33.62 - $51.43 hourly

  • The successful candidate with a Masters or PhD in a related field will receive an Educational Supplement of $2,850 or $5,700 per annum, respectively, pro-rated on an hourly basis.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Diploma in Medical Radiologic Technology
  • Active registration with the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists
  • Several years experience working as a Medical Radiological Technologist
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to use conflict resolution techniques to facilitate positive outcomes
  • Demonstrated leadership skills
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Ability to teach on campus and remotely
  • Demonstrated experience using Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to work independently as well as in small to large group settings
  • Experience building a respectful workplace culture that promotes diversity, learning and continuous improvement

ASSET QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience developing curriculum and instructing at a post-secondary level
  • Certificate in Teaching for Learning or Adult Education
  • Experience developing and instructing distance-delivered courses including online
  • Experience using a Learning Management System (LMS) to deliver blended (synchronous and asynchronous) instruction
Responsibilities

Reporting to the Chair, Diagnostic Imaging Programs, Red River College Polytechnic is looking for an Instructor for the Medical Radiologic Technology Program, Department of Allied Health Sciences at the School of Health Sciences and Community Services. Responsibilities include classroom and lab instruction, supervision and guidance of students, student evaluation, advising of students, maintenance of student records and other professional duties related to instruction. The incumbent is also required to participate in department and College committees and assist in student orientation and graduation activities.
