Instructor (Neurosurgery), Department of Surgery Entity: Medical College Location: Karachi, Pakistan Introduction: Aga Khan University, chartered in 1983 as Pakistan's first private international university, is committed to the provision of education, research and health care of international standard relevant to Pakistan and the region. The affiliated Aga Khan University Hospital has well-equipped investigative services and provides state-of-the-art clinical facilities. The Department of Surgery provides comprehensive and sub-specialty care in the areas of Cardiothoracic Surgery, Dental-Oral, Maxillo-facial Surgery, General Surgery, Breast Surgery, Neurosurgery, Ophthalmology, Orthopaedic Surgery, Otolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery, Paediatric Surgery, Plastic Surgery, Urology and Vascular Surgery. The Department has 114 full-time and part-time faculty with a strong commitment towards teaching and research. Formal structured undergraduate teaching, postgraduate residency and fellowship programmes are integrated into the academic functions of the department. Aga Khan University invites applications for the position of Instructor, Neurosurgery. Responsibilities: The candidate will be expected to have undergraduate and postgraduate teaching, clinical, research and specified administrative responsibilities. You will have access to work in Neurosurgery clinics, inpatient wards as well as in operating theatres. Requirements: You must have completed a structured post-graduate training in Neurosurgery from a reputable institution and possess FCPS Part I or equivalent and be eligible for FCPS-II or equivalent. You should also have valid PMDC license. Comprehensive employment reference checks will be conducted.
