Instructor (Orthopedics), Department of Orthopaedic Surgery Entity: Aga Khan University Location: Karachi, Pakistan Introduction: Aga Khan University (AKU), chartered in 1983 as Pakistan’s first private international university, is dedicated to delivering education, research, and healthcare of international standards, relevant to Pakistan and the region. Its affiliated Aga Khan University Hospital offers state-of-the-art clinical facilities and well-equipped investigative services. The Department of Orthopaedic Surgery provides comprehensive and sub-specialty care in Arthroplasty Surgery, Pediatric Orthopedics, Hand and Upper limb, Microvascular Surgery, Musculoskeletal Tumor Surgery, Spine Deformity Correction, Sport medicine & Ilizarov treatment of Orthopaedic disorder & Orthopaedic Trauma Surgery. The Department has 13 full-time and part-time faculty members with a strong commitment to teaching and research. Structured undergraduate teaching, postgraduate residency, and fellowship programs are integral to its academic mission. Responsibilities: The candidate will be expected to participate in undergraduate and postgraduate teaching, research activities, clinical and operative work, and any other tasks assigned by the supervisor or as specified by the Chair of Orthopaedics. Requirements: You must have completed a structured post-graduate training in Orthopedics surgery from a reputable institution and possess FCPS Part I or equivalent and be eligible for FCPS-II or equivalent. You should also have valid PMDC license. Comprehensive employment reference checks will be conducted.
Responsibilities
The candidate will participate in undergraduate and postgraduate teaching, research activities, clinical and operative work. Additional tasks may be assigned by the supervisor or specified by the Chair of Orthopaedics.
