Instructor, Paediatric Haematology / Oncology/BMT Department: Oncology Entity: Medical College Location: Karachi, Pakistan Introduction: Aga Khan University (AKU), a private, self-governing international university chartered in Pakistan in 1983, is a role model for academic, research and service programmes in health and higher education in the developing world. The Department of Oncology offers comprehensive cancer care services to all patients. The services are provided through multidisciplinary teams. Infrastructure facilities include a daycare setting dedicated to oncology patients. Outpatient facilities include clinics of Medical, Hematology, Paediatric, Radiation, and Palliative Care. The department has 17 full-time Faculty with a strong commitment to undergraduate and postgraduate education and research. Residency programs are offered in Radiation Oncology, Medical Oncology, and Clinical Hematology Oncology, and a fellowship program in Paediatric Oncology. Aga Khan University invites applications for the position of Instructor, Paediatric Haematology/Oncology/BMT, Department of Oncology. Responsibilities: You will be responsible to: provide supervision in the in-patient and out-patient & BMT services along with senior faculty members perform daily team rounds, formulate care plan and expedite discharges on a daily basis in consultation with senior faculty members practice a system that is quality-based and has an academic and service model embedded in it formulate quality initiatives for the units and present them at various platforms under the guidance of senior faculty members contribute to patient complaint reviews and case review system / root cause analysis participate in the departmental/hospitals quality improvement activities Requirements: You should have: MBBS degree and a valid PMDC license 4 years of Paediatrics structured training FCPS part II eligible preference will be given to candidates with Paediatric Hematology/Oncology training or relevant experience excellent interpersonal, teaching and training skills excellent procedural skills, ability to provide quality and safe patient care in a diverse setting ability to work effectively in teams as well as independently. Responsibilities
