JOB OVERVIEW:

We are currently seeking a qualified and enthusiastic Pharmacy Assistant Instructor to join our team at the Surrey Campus. The ideal candidate will bring real-world pharmacy experience, strong communication skills, and a genuine passion for education.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • A certificate, diploma, or post-secondary degree relevant to the Pharmacy Assistant field, and;
  • Minimum of 2 years’ practical experience in a pharmacy setting
  • Teaching or facilitation experience preferred (but not required)
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Commitment to student success and continuous learning
  • Eligibility to work in British Columbia

Responsibilities

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Deliver engaging and comprehensive lectures and practical demonstrations to students pursuing careers in the pharmacy field
  • Prepare and review teaching materials in advance, ensuring they are kept up to date and aligned with curriculum goals
  • Collaborate with the academic team to develop and refine the curriculum in accordance with regulatory requirements and industry standards
  • Provide ongoing academic guidance, mentorship, and support to students while maintaining a respectful and inclusive learning environment
  • Evaluate student performance, grade assignments, and offer constructive feedback to support learning outcomes
  • Stay current with developments in the pharmacy and healthcare sectors and integrate relevant knowledge into your teaching
  • Participate in ongoing professional development to enhance instructional methods and subject-matter expertise
  • Contribute to faculty meetings and interdisciplinary academic initiatives
  • Maintain professionalism in all communications with students and staff
  • Collaborate with the administrative team and report to the Academic Director or Campus Director as required

    Pay: $26.00-$30.00 per hour
    Expected hours: 20 – 25 per week
