The Department of Surgery provides comprehensive and sub-specialty care in the areas of Cardiothoracic Surgery, Dental-Oral, Maxillo-facial Surgery, General Surgery, Breast Surgery, Neurosurgery, Ophthalmology, Orthopaedic Surgery, Otolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery, Paediatric Surgery, Plastic Surgery, Urology and Vascular Surgery. Aga Khan University invites applications for the position of Instructor, Plastic Surgery. Responsibilities: The candidate will be expected to participate in Undergraduate & Postgraduate teaching and research, clinical & operative work and will be providing coverage during on-call, and any other assigned task by supervisor specified to the section of Plastic Surgery. You will be responsible to: perform pre-operative evaluation and post-operative management of plastic surgery, cosmetic and reconstructive patients assess and manage similar patients including pediatric population in wards, clinics and Emergency room document the above in a timely manner and communicate appropriately with the patients and their families as well as the other medical and support teams ensure availability in the premises when on call, and respond promptly to the calls remain updated on infection control procedures and other hospital related protocols and follow the same accordingly. Requirements: You must have completed a structured post-graduate training in Plastic Surgery from a reputable institution and possess FCPS Part I or equivalent and be eligible for FCPS-II or equivalent. You should also have valid PMDC license. Comprehensive employment reference checks will be conducted.
