POSITION OVERVIEW:
Reporting to the Academic Chairperson, Public Safety Institute, will be the primary instructor for recruit level and experienced officer in-service training delivered to members of the Manitoba First Nations Police Service.
QUALIFICATIONS:
u Current or recent experience in the policing environment, ideally in First Nation communities
u Experience instructing adult learners
u Strong organizational skills
u Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
u Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team and engage with diverse student populations.
u Proficiency with common computer applications and the internet to prepare lesson plans, reports, presentations, graphics, etc. and ability to operate classroom presentation technology
u Evidence of post-secondary teaching experience, including curriculum development and knowledge or experience with Moodle or other Learning Management Systems (LMS) would be an asset.
