Speech Associates is hiring for an Instructor Therapist (ABA) to join our Durham team in providing clinical services to children, youth, and adults requiring Speech Therapy services. In this contract-based position, you will have the freedom to create your own schedule to fit the way you work best. Your schedule, client preferences, and criteria will help us ensure that you’re able to provide vital services in a way that works for you.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Valid Ontario Driver’s License and access to a personal vehicle.
  • Ability to travel up to client homes within your determined radius for travel.
  • 1+ Year(s) providing clinical ABA Therapy and Evidence-Based Behavioural Therapy Techniques
  • Proven organizational, interpersonal, and time management skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with other team members, clients and their families.
  • Strong ability to problem solve, work independently, and self-monitor
  • A passion for helping others with their communication and behaviour goals!
Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE:

In this role, you will work one-on-one with children diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder or other developmental disabilities, using Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA) strategies under the guidance of our team of RBAs. You’ll collaborate with other team members to consistently follow Behaviour Intervention Plans and Therapy Programs, maintain communication with families, and document sessions according to BACB and clinical standards.
As a community-based provider, you’ll travel to the child’s home, school, or daycare to deliver therapy in familiar settings that support long-term learning.
ABA Therapists are responsible for collecting data and keeping accurate records of each session. This includes maintaining a home-based therapy binder and entering notes through our online platform, Alayacare.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Speech Associates is hiring for a part or full-time ABA Therapist position to join our team in providing clinical services through 1:1 ABA/IBI therapy. In this contract-based position you will have the opportunity to work with children and youth in your community diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder and other developmental disabilities. Working collaboratively with a BCBA or Senior Therapist supervisor, you will use ABA principles and Evidence-Based Treatment methods to support clients with skills of daily living, cognitive skills-building, motor skills, behaviour intervention, emotion regulation, and more!
