JOB POSTING: ABA INSTRUCTOR THERAPIST (PART-TIME, CONTRACT)

Speech Associates is hiring part-time ABA Instructor Therapists to provide 1:1 clinical services to children and youth with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and other developmental disabilities. In this flexible, contract-based position, you’ll deliver in-home therapy and be supported by a team of experienced professionals dedicated to helping you succeed.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum 1 year of experience providing ABA therapy.
  • Valid Ontario driver’s license and access to a personal vehicle.
  • Willingness to travel within a defined radius to client locations.
  • Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and problem-solve effectively.
  • Commitment to supporting clients and families with compassion and professionalism.

Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE

As an Instructor Therapist you will:

  • Work 1:1 with children diagnosed with ASD or other developmental disabilities.
  • Implement Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA) strategies under the supervision of a Registered Behaviour Analyst (RBA) or Senior Therapist.
  • Collaborate with clinical team members to follow individualized Behaviour Intervention Plans and Therapy Programs.
  • Deliver therapy in community settings such as the child’s home, school, or daycare, supporting generalization and long-term learning.
  • Collect accurate data and maintain session records in accordance with the CPBAO and clinical standards, including use of AlayaCare and maintaining a home-based therapy binder.
  • Maintain clear, professional communication with clients, families, and team members.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide direct 1:1 ABA/IBI therapy in community-based settings.
  • Use evidence-based methods to support clients in developing:
  • Daily living skills
  • Behaviour regulation
  • Motor and cognitive skills
  • Communication and social-emotional skills
  • Document therapy sessions and client progress using AlayaCare and other tools.
  • Participate in team meetings and clinical supervision.
