Are you an Instructor Therapist looking to work with children and youth, both in-centre and across home and community environments? Are you pursuing post-graduate studies in behaviour analysis? Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL FOR THE ROLE:

  • At least 1 year of experience working with children and youth with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)
  • At least 1 year of experience providing ABA Therapy
  • Experience working with a wide range of client ages and profiles, including neurodiverse clients from 2-18+ years old and members of their family (ex. parents, siblings)
  • Introductory knowledge of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and other behaviour-based approaches to counselling and mental health is considered an asset
  • Basic knowledge and application of skill-based treatment (SBT) procedures and Universal Protocols is considered an asset
  • Appropriate use, of and competency with relevant technology (ex. Microsoft Word and Excel, Google Drive, Google Docs and Sheets, Apple products such as iPads and Macs), and the ability to learn to use practice management software (ex. Clockify)

The role of ‘Instructor Therapist’ includes a variety of direct and indirect responsibilities and tasks, related to the practice of Applied Behaviour Analysis, as defined as “the implementation and delivery of interventions derived from the principles of behaviour in order to produce meaningful improvements” (Psychology and Applied Behaviour Analysis Act, 2021). Specific areas of responsibility include, but are not limited to:
