Description

Clearview Behavioural Solutions is currently looking for skilled individuals to fill a part-time contract Autism Therapist Position.
Instructor Therapists will provide one-to-one Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA) services and supports to children and youth with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and/ or other Developmental Disabilities, overseen by a Supervising Therapist (ST) and/ or a Board Certified Behaviour Analyst (BCBA)/ Registered Behaviour Analyst (Ontario Certified). Reporting to the ST/BCBA, the therapist will work as part of a team directly with children, youth and their families in client homes, both one-on-one and in small groups (if applicable).

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Participate in the delivery of evidence-based ABA programming in client’s home and/ or within the community administering: skill acquisition programs, teaching appropriate behaviours, reducing challenging behaviour, teaching communication and social skills, play skills, and life/ vocational skills
  • Collect and graph programming data and keep daily record of challenging behaviours and skill acquisition progress
  • Maintain the clinical binder/ folders for each client
  • Collaborate positively with team members via team meetings and trainings
  • Regular communication with parents/ guardians to provide progress updates and parent coaching
  • Document client progress and observation via Session Summaries
  • Ongoing communication with ST and BCBA

Qualifications:

  • Post-secondary education in Autism and Behaviour Science or a related field
  • Minimum of 6 months of experience in the field
  • Registered Behaviour Technician (RBT) or working towards RBT certification is an asset
  • Ability to work as a member of a team
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively with all team members
  • A valid Ontario Driver’s License and access to a personal vehicle and/or other reliable methods of transportation
  • First Aid/CPR training an asset
  • Satisfactory Criminal Record Check (including a Vulnerable Sector Screening)

Compensation is based upon experience, education, and professional credentials.
