Description

We are currently recruiting for a part time in-person permanent staff with the expectation of moving to full time in the future.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Provide direct care to clients in a one-on-one or group therapy setting to implement behaviour therapy treatments as directed by the supervisor (this may be done in the client’s home, in community settings, or virtually through telehealth services).
  • Provide direct in-home intervention for the clients and implement programs according to the treatment plan, recording data, and documenting session notes.
  • Collaborate, communicate, and assist with the training of clients, parents and staff on the principles of ABA/PRT
  • Communicate with parents and team members regularly.
  • Train & work under the supervision of Board Certified Behaviour Analysts (BCBAs)/Registered Behaviour Analysts (RBAs)
  • Provide a safe and supportive environment for clients and family.
  • Carry out clinical assessments and other administrative duties.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality.
  • May need to work shifts.
  • Attend trainings to acquire further knowledge.

Qualifications

Required:

  • A diploma in Autism Behaviour Sciences (ABS) or equivalent related education
  • Knowledge, experience, and training in Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA)/Pivotal Response Treatment (PRT) and its application for instructional methods in multiple environments
  • Demonstrate skills coaching others on ABA/PRT principles.
  • Advanced knowledge of the characteristics of ASD, CP, DS, ADHD, ODD, and similar diagnoses.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to receive and incorporate feedback and advanced self-reflection skills.
  • Ability to resolve conflicts and negotiate outcomes.
  • Mature and consistent approach with strong interpersonal skills.
  • May need to work shifts.
  • Effective computer skills and the ability to learn/use data collection software.
  • Access to a computer and reliable internet.
  • An ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Eager to learn and work on continuous improvement.
  • Valid Criminal Background Check and Vulnerable Sector Screen
  • Valid driver’s license, access to a reliable vehicle and the ability to travel within Windsor Essex County

Preferred:

  • Preference will be given to candidates with at least 2 years of experience working in an ABA/IBI/PRT setting under the clinical supervision of a BCBA/RBA
