Are you passionate about design and eager to share your expertise with the next generation of creative professionals? The Pacific Design Academy (PDA) is seeking a Web Programming instructor in Graphic Media Design Program to teach on a part-time basis.

As an instructor, you will:

• Teach engaging and practical classes.
• Track attendance and assess student progress effectively.
• Foster a positive and inspiring learning environment.
• Deliver engaging and practical lessons in web programming, focusing on HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and related technologies.
• Introduce students to modern development tools and workflows, including version control (Git), frameworks (e.g., React, Vue), and introductory back-end concepts.
• Provide hands-on guidance through projects and code reviews, helping students understand both technical and conceptual challenges.
• Develop and update instructional materials such as lesson plans, assignments, and assessments.
• Collaborate with fellow instructors and staff to ensure a consistent and supportive learning environment.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

We are looking for individuals with a broad range of expertise, including:

• A diploma or degree in Web Development, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Professional experience in web development, including front-end and back-end projects.
• Strong knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and familiarity with one or more frameworks/libraries (e.g., React, Node.js, Express).
• Understanding of responsive design, accessibility standards, and cross-browser compatibility.
• Experience with Git and modern development tools and workflows.
• Teaching or mentoring experience is an asset, but not required—enthusiasm and clear communication are key.
• Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
• A willingness to support students in their learning journey and share real-world insight from your professional experience.
