Position Summary: We are seeking a knowledgeable and passionate Wine, Beer, and Mixology Instructor to join our instructional team.
The successful candidate will deliver engaging and hands-on instruction covering the history, production, classification, tasting, and service of wine, beer, and spirits, along with practical mixology skills. This course is designed to prepare students for careers in the hospitality and beverage industry.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Certificate, diploma, or degree in Hospitality, Culinary Arts, or related field.
  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in bartending, sommelier work, beverage management, or hospitality.
  • Previous teaching or training experience is an asset.
  • Certification in Smart Serve (or equivalent) is required.
    Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
    Pay: $22.00-$25.00 per hour

Responsibilities
  • Deliver dynamic, interactive instruction on wine, beer, and spirits, including proper tasting techniques, product knowledge, and mixology fundamentals.
  • Teach students about bar setup, cocktail preparation, responsible alcohol service, and customer engagement.
  • Provide hands-on demonstrations and facilitate tasting sessions (as permitted).
  • Develop lesson plans, course materials, and assessments aligned with curriculum outcomes.
  • Incorporate industry standards, trends, and best practices into instructional content.
  • Evaluate student progress through assignments, quizzes, practical evaluations, and participation.
  • Foster a safe, inclusive, and professional learning environment.
  • Ensure compliance with local laws and policies regarding alcohol service and handling.
  • Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and performance.
  • Collaborate with academic staff on curriculum development, updates, and delivery.
