Description GasTech Engineering LLC is seeking a skilled Instrument & Electrical Technician to join our Manufacturing Department. This role is critical in ensuring the proper control and operation of process equipment by translating engineering documentation into high-quality electrical assemblies. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, safety-conscious, and committed to excellence in electrical and instrumentation work. Key Responsibilities: Interpret and work from electrical schematics, wire diagrams, P&IDs, and general arrangement drawings Perform point-to-point wiring of power and control systems Install instruments, actuators, controllers, and control panels Run conduit, wire trays, and supports Terminate twisted pair and multi-conductor wiring, including potted and Okonite cables Conduct electrical, panel, control, and communication checks Route and install pneumatic control tubing Lead small teams and plan ahead for efficient task execution Maintain professional housekeeping and adhere to safety standards Ensure minimal wiring repairs and maintain punctual, reliable attendance Requirements Qualifications: High school diploma or GED required Proven proficiency in electrical and controls automation within process piping and pressure equipment manufacturing Must pass a qualified electrical test and demonstrate class-appropriate experience Vocational training in electrical/controls preferred Familiarity with NEC, UL/CSA Codes, and ISO 9001 environments preferred Strong knowledge of electrical parts, PLCs, relays, motor starters, VFDs, valve actuators, and communication interfaces Excellent organizational, time management, and communication skills Ability to work with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality
Responsibilities
The Instrument & Electrical Technician will interpret engineering documentation and perform wiring and installation of control systems and instruments. This role also involves conducting checks and maintaining safety standards in the manufacturing environment.
