Description
INTECH Automation Intelligence is seeking an Instrument/F&G Technician to join our dynamic team based in KSA. This role is pivotal in supporting preventive maintenance, corrective maintenance, inspection, calibration, and troubleshooting of Fire & Gas detection systems and Fire Protection Systems to ensure safe, reliable, and continuous operation in accordance with applicable safety standards and company procedures. What You’ll Lead and Deliver 1. Preventive Maintenance Perform scheduled preventive maintenance (PM) for Fire & Gas detection and fire protection systems Conduct calibration and functional testing of fire and gas detectors, alarms, and annunciation systems. Perform periodic inspection, testing, and servicing of: Deluge Water Spray Systems Wet & Dry Sprinkler Systems Clean Agent Systems (Novec-1230) Fire Alarm Panels Gas Detection Systems Maintain portable gas detectors through routine inspection and calibration. 2. Corrective Maintenance & Troubleshooting Diagnose and rectify faults in: Addressable fire alarm systems PLC-based Fire & Gas systems Field devices and detectors Control panels and mimic panels Attend system faults, alarms, and failures and restore systems to normal operation. Ensure zero active fault alarms in NDU and SCADA systems. Troubleshoot issues related to: Horn strobes and alarm bells Plant emergency air horns Fire mimic panels Addressable fire alarm panels PLC and marshalling panels. 3. Fire Suppression System Maintenance Maintain instrumentation associated with fire protection systems including: Solenoid valves Pressure switches (low/high) Flow switches Pressure gauges Pressure regulators Limit switches Supervisory tamper switches Perform maintenance and troubleshooting of Deluge and Sprinkler valve instrumentation. 4. Fire Alarm & Control Panel Support Provide maintenance and support for fire alarm control panels including: Notifier NFS2-320 Simplex 4100ES Honeywell XLS-3000 Responsibilities include: Panel configuration and troubleshooting Network diagnostics Node configuration Device addition and removal Software backups and system restoration Replacement of internal cards and modules Maintenance of backup batteries and power supplies 5. Fiber Optic & Communication Systems Perform fiber optic testing and troubleshooting. Conduct OTDR testing and fiber splicing when required. Maintain fiber communication network for Fire & Gas systems. 6. System Upgrades & Device Replacement Replace obsolete field devices including: Plant air horns Manual release stations Fire detectors Alarm devices Install and configure new detection and notification devices where required. 7. Emergency & Breakdown Response Attend emergency breakdowns and fault conditions for Fire & Gas systems. Provide 24/7 on-call support during off-hours. Respond promptly to fire protection system alarms and failures. 8. Documentation & Reporting Record maintenance activities and inspection results. Prepare fault reports and corrective action reports. Provide detailed reports on active faults and system status. Requirements To Be Successful in This Role, You Must Have: 7+ Years of experience in Preventive Maintenance, Remedial maintenance, Call outs, and worked in the Petrochemical plants, Oil & Gas & Industrial facilities Minimum DAE in Electronics, Instrumentation, Electrical or Industrial Automation. Hands-on experience with fire alarm panels, gas detection systems, and suppression systems, such as Notifier, Simplex, Tyco, Ansul, Honeywell,Dräger, MSA, Safety, Viking Group Fire & Gas System Certification Industrial Safety Training Gas Detection Calibration Training Vendor certifications for fire alarm systems. Strong troubleshooting skills Knowledge of Fire & Gas system architecture Experience with PLC based safety systems Understanding of fire protection standards Ability to work in hazardous industrial environments Good communication and reporting skills Why Join INTECH Automation Intelligence?
